Monkey Mates The Monkey Mate started as an engineering challenge to create a hook that would mount to the popular wire Monkey Hook.   To meet this challenge we molded the hooks in halves and utilized ultrasonic welding to join them together.   By using this approach we were able to meet the price point needed to bring the product to market. There are four types of hooks in the Monkey Mate family, all of which are molded at the same time in a family tool.
